76. Sulphur Mountain

Distance: 5.6km one way
Elev. gain: 660m

On March 28, I climbed Sulphur mountain with Nate and Erin and Naylis, Skyler and Allie. The carrot at the top was a free ride down on the gondola.
It was a beautiful spring day with fresh snow, good traction, good spirits and snacks.
We ate a solid snack in the parking lot before starting.
Some chocolate cupcake at our first rest stop.

Every time we hiked under the gondola lines the trail opened up to a beautiful view.

The boys ran ahead to the next switchbacks and amused themselves throwing snowballs down at Erin.

We finally got to the top, had lunch and admired the beautiful teahouse and view.

And finally the free ride down in the gondola.

It was a beautiful day in the mountains. Nate and Erin had just come back from 6 weeks in Mexico so the change of scene was good for them. Erin took the pictures with her phone and emailed them to me and I had a very confusing time trying to put them in this blog. It wouldn't publish well.
